Teachers are designers.

We make visual choices for every class that impact the way students experience our material. As human beings, design - good or bad - is involved in every choice we make. Incorporating smart design techniques in student facing material goes beyond just making something look nice.

Designers are taught simple rules for boosting user engagement in everyday content such as guiding the eye, grabbing attention, and improving readability and understanding for all reading levels. Why can't the classroom incorporate those same techniques to promote a more positive student experience with material?
